Madalas may nagtatanong sakin or saiyo o minsan naririning mo kung...

"Madali lang daw ba kumita sa internet?"

Conversations That Increase Sales

The ultimate goal in a sales meeting is, of course, to close the deal. Depending on your individual style, there are several paths from which to choose that lead you to a final sale. By focusing on your clients’ perspective, you are giving yourself a better chance at succeeding. Here are some conversations you should be having with customers that will lead to an increased number of sales.
  • Discuss how your client perceives the problem. You may have your own ideas about how your product or service would serve as a solution to a problem, but the client may have a completely different perception of the problem itself. Find out what that is, and in your presentation, appeal to that need. Let’s say your client wants to simplify his financial software program. Without discussing why, you could be trying to solve a problem that doesn’t really exist. Does his current program have too many extraneous features? Does he like the features but finds the program hard to use? The more specific you can get, the better equipped you’ll be to provide a real solution.
  • Use simple, clear statements that appeal to your client. There really is no need for you to use overly technical language or business jargon in a sales meeting. Clients really only want to figure out if your product will be valuable enough to them to spend their hard-earned money on it. Back to the above example, the customer states that he needs the features of his financial software, but is spending too much time navigating the program. A simple statement like, “The simplicity of our software will cut your usage time in half,” is clear and appeals exactly to the client’s problem.
  • Establish credibility. Why should a client take the time to listen to your pitch? Why should someone consider doing business with you instead of a competitor? You need to establish yourself as someone worthy of a client’s time. Make sure you are dressed appropriately and come prepared not just with your pitch, but with smart, client-specific questions. It’s a good idea to research a prospective client so that you can open with some questions that demonstrate your expertise and genuine interest in your client’s specific needs.
  • Prepare for objections. Don’t let yourself be caught off guard when a client objects to closing the sale. Anticipate possible reasons for such objections so you can respond quickly and confidently. People often take comfort in knowing that others have already thought of possible issues and have taken steps to prevent them. Listen carefully to the client’s concern, ask follow-up questions if necessary, and then respond appropriately.
  • Always leave with a good impression. This is especially true, even if you don’t ultimately make the sale. You never know when you will be doing business with this client in the future or in what capacity. If you’ve left with a positive impression, a client may recommend you to a colleague or friend, or perhaps think of you later on when a different need arises. Even failed sales meetings are opportunities for further networking, so always conduct yourself professionally with a pleasant and sincere demeanor.

Your dialogue with clients forms the basis of your professional relationship. Knowing how to focus those conversations will help you increase your sales.

So How Hard Is It To Talk To "live" People?

Network marketing is person-to-person, talking to a "live" human being. So why do new network marketers make it so hard? 

They want to start with strangers, because they don't know what to say to people they know. Not sure if strangers will appreciate them not knowing what to say. 

So what do they do? 

They post on social media, and then spend weeks writing content for their blog. They set up a squeeze page that sends people to a landing page that uses an opt-in box to put them on an autoresponder sequence. Then, they send email messages until the person goes and watches a teaser video, and hopefully will leave their details to be contacted. 

And then, finally, the new networker can make that phone call to this low-quality lead and hope not to get rejected. 

About 20 years ago when Michael Clouse said, "I go into Starbucks, sit down near the door, and start a 'live' conversation with a 'live' person." 

Michael bypassed all the filters, hoops, and social media, and just went and talked to a "live" person. Pretty neat. 

But people say, "Well, that person in Starbucks ... how do you know that person is interested?" 

Of course that person is interested. Almost everyone wants more money and a better life. That person is just as interested, just as qualified as the low-quality lead that put some information on a form. 

But isn't just talking to people "old school?" Yes. It is so much more efficient than spending weeks and months for a chance to talk to a lead. 

But isn't social media, having 5,000 Facebook friends that don't care, a modern way to do network marketing? Well, if delaying talking to prospects is modern, yes. 

"But I heard of someone who made a fortune just buying an Internet course and sending out emails!" Well, could be true. Ask yourself if you have the same skill set, the same relationship with a mailing list, etc. as that person. 

Now, I am not saying, "Don't use social media." What I am saying is that many new distributors hide behind computer screens, avoid talking to "live" people, and delay the start of their business. 

Our business is talking to "live" people, so we want to get on with it as soon as possible. And the cruel truth of all of this is: If we spend weeks or months to get a chance to talk to a "live" prospect, we still have to talk to that prospect. 

Quickly learn how to talk to prospects, and your business will grow faster.

Talk! Talk! Talk! and Talk!

We all love to talk, talk and talk more about our business opportunity and products, but the problem for new distributors is that they don´t have anyone to talk to!
Once the new distributor talks to all of his family and friends, then the problem of who to talk to becomes serious. Distributor say:

"When do I find good prospects?"

"Where can I find people who will listen to me?"

"How do I get strangers interested?"

So they go out and try to talk to strangers, and because they are untrained, because they say the wrong words ... they get rejected. Then what?

After experiencing rejection after rejection, the distributor feels bad. Your distributor has common sense. Your distributor figures out that the only way to stop the rejection and pain is to stop talking to people. And then the distributor becomes inactive.

The upline then thinks, "How do I motivate my downline? How do I get them to duplicate?" 

The upline is asking the wrong question. The distributor is not unmotivated. The distributor stopped saying words that didn´t work, but has no new words to substitute. So this isn´t a motivation problem, it is a training problem. The upline has to teach new words that work to the still motivated distributor.

Where To Find Great, Captive, Motivated Prospects?


Just stop to put fuel in your car. And don't pay at the pump! Inside the convenience store is a clerk. What do we know about this clerk? 

1. The clerk is motivated by money. Hey, the clerk is working, right? 

2. The clerk is responsible. Somebody trusts the clerk to handle money. 

3. The clerk is underpaid. I have never seen an overpaid clerk

4. The clerk probably hates the job. It's boring, especially on the night shift. 

Simply say to the clerk something like this (remembering the rule of disagreement from CD albums): 

"Hey, this looks like a pretty nice job. You get to work inside and you don't have to worry about nasty weather." 

The clerk usually will disagree and now your conversation begins. Easy, isn't it? 

SMD are fun to use and AAM. They get people to come to us.


This is painful ...


The caller was complaining: 

"I can't sell a thing. My prospects refuse to buy. This business doesn't work." 

I wish the caller could have heard himself talk. He had the "helpless victim" whine perfected. 

Well, marketing isn't difficult. It's just common sense. So I told the caller: 

"It's your business. You have three choices: 

1. Sell something different. 

2. Find different prospects to sell to. 

3. Learn how to sell better. 

Take your pick ... or quit." 

I guess quitting could really be the fourth choice.  

Anyway, the caller wanted me to change the world for him. He wanted everyone he talked with to change how they reacted to his untrained presentation. 

The caller didn't want to (#1) sell something different, and he didn't want to (#2) find new prospects. That left him with option #3: Learn how to sell better. And, the caller definitely didn't want to learn how to sell better as he insisted that he keep his current presentation. 

I didn't argue with the caller. How he sees his business is his business. He is in charge of the choices in his life. 

While this was painful for the caller, it was quite enjoyable for me. I like it when callers learn to take personal responsibility for their lives. 

And did the caller decide to "learn how to sell better" and change his future? 

No. 

He decided to complain to someone else. I guess you can only present solutions - not force people to take advantage of the solutions.
